6 awesome cocktails that you should try out

You’re probably used to going out for drinks with your buddies, and by the time you’re getting home you’re dog-tired. Don’t even get me started on the walk of shame. Sometimes drinking at a club is just overrated. So how much better would it be if you made your own delicious cocktails? It’s definitely cheaper than drinking out, it’s fun and not to mention you’re going to be getting some serious kudos from your friends.

So here’s a list of cocktails that are just to die for:

Martinez

This drink is sweeter than the typical dry martini. The Martinez consists of gin, sweet vermouth, maraschino or curaçao, and bitters. Its flavor is very complex and refreshing.

Martini

For something less sweet, this should definitely be your pick. You can mix this up however you want, and it will still taste great. You can make it extra wet with equal parts gin and vermouth, then shake or stir. Garnish with an olive, a lemon twist, an onion or even a slice of cucumber.

Margarita

The margarita’s recipe is simple. All you need is 3 ingredients, so there’s no excuse for a pre-mix. A good tequila, a decent triple sec, fresh limes, and you’re guaranteed a great drink.

Bloody Mary

A really good Bloody Mary mix is prepared in-house or at home from the best tomato juice and whatever other juices and spices you fancy. You just need to mix it with some lemon juice and dash in bitters. Now that’s a Bloody Mary.

Ramos Gin Fizz

You’ll need to break out your blender for this one. This complex drink comprises of gin, lemon and lime juices, simple syrup, orange flower water, cream, an egg white and  vanilla extract if needed. Blend the ingredients and enjoy with ice.

A Berry Surprise

Place ice cubes into the bottom of a brandy snifter. Slowly pour your cream liqueur over ice. Then pour in some milk and stir gently. To give it added flavor pour in some chocolate sauce and enjoy.
